Work needed:
The project involved completely stripping the existing roof down to the rafters, followed by careful salvaging and cleaning of the original antique clay tiles. A high-performance breathable membrane and new treated timber battens were installed throughout, open rafter feet were fully prept and repainted, and specialist detailing was carried out across the bespoke eyebrow dormer feature before re-tiling.

Total Re-roof: Full strip down to rafters, re-laid with salvaged handmade clay tiles over a new high-performance breathable membrane and treated timber battens.
Bespoke Eyebrow Feature: Specialist roof detailing and shaping to execute the traditional curved eyebrow dormer seamlessly.
Open Rafter Feet: Exposed rafter feet fully prept and repainted to protect and restore the traditional roofline look.
Leadwork & Detailing: Brand new lead flashings, chimney repairs, and traditional bonnet hip tiles installed for total weather protection.
Status: Completed; roof fully upgraded to modern roofing standards while retaining its timeless, antique look.
